BJ-Gear har ett särskilt brett standardprogram av snäckväxlar. På grund av den modulära uppbyggnaden bjuder standardprogrammet på otaliga kombinationsmöjligheter. Det gäller val av växelhus, monteringsmöjligheter, anslutningsmöjligheter, flänsar, utgående axlar, oljetyper, ytbehandlinger m.m.
BJ-snäckväxeln är en enkel och genomtänkt konstruktion. Vi använder bara komponenter av hög kvalitet som t.ex. hus i gjutjärn, aluminium och rostfritt stål, snäckor i härdat och slipat insatsstål och snäckhjul i högkvalitetsbrons med speciella legeringar som säkrar en optimal slitstyrka. Snäckväxelns tätningar är med dammläppar, som effektivt står emot damm och vatten. Dessutom är växlarna livstidssmorda med syntetisk olja.
Snäckväxlar ger som standard möjlighet för reduktioner på upp till 100:1 i ett steg eller 10000:1 i en dubbelreduktion. En tillsvarande kugghjulsutväxling med samma utväxlingsförhållande och samma överförda effekt fyller mer än en snäckutväxling. Samtidigt är snäckväxeln mer enkel i sin konstruktion.
En dubbelreduktion kan sammansättas av 2 standardväxlar som illustrerat på bilden annars som en specialväxel.

Våra snäckväxlar och ställdon har särdeles låg bullernivå. Det beror på snäckväxelns mycket jämna gång kombinerat med användandet av gjutjärn och stor precision vid komponentframställning och montage. I förbindelse med vår precisionsväxel tas det ytterligare hand om alla ljud som kan tolkas som missljud från växeln. Den generella bullernivån från våra växlar är därför reducerade till ett absolut minimum.
I snäckväxeln står ingångsaxeln och utgångsaxeln vinkelrätt på varandra. Detta visar sig ofta att vara en avgörande fördel som gör inbyggnaden av växeln väsentligt lättare och extra kompakt.
Utgångsaxeln på BJ-snäckväxel har en mycket stabil lagerföljd i växelhuset och är perfekt som direkt upphängning till hjul, rörliga armar och andra delar istället för att bygga en separat upphängning.
Vid större utväxlingar ger BJ-Gears snäckväxlar en självhämmande effekt som i många situationer kan användas som bromsar eller som extra säkerhet. Även skruvdomkrafter med trapetsgängor är självhämmande, vilket gör dem perfekta i en lång rad lösningar.

If the ratio of one gear is not sufficient the gear ratio may be increased by fitting an additional worm gear or a helical gear.
The worm gears are available in a center distance of 30 ”“ 110 mm and we are keeping in stock all sizes and gear ratios.

The worm gears of the Q series are competitive products offered as a supplement to our own manufactured BJ series, adding even more broadness to our worm gear programme. The worm gears are modular designed and comprise countless combinations.
The housing is made of aluminum or cast iron and may be supplied with stainless steel hollow shafts. The input side is provided with IEC motor flange or with a free input shaft. The output side is supplied with a hollow shaft as standard, but it is of course possible to mount shafts from both sides as well.
The worm gears can be supplied with a torque arm, flanges of different sizes or with feet to be fitted in 3 different positions.
